Dear Governor Cuomo:
NYS Allies for Public Education (NYSAPE), a coalition of 50 parent and educator groups state wide, calls upon the Governor’s Office to immediately release the 2015-16 state aid projections with the preliminary estimate of school aids payable under NYS Education Code section 3609, plus other aids.
Governor Andrew Cuomo will address New Yorkers today in his State of the State address which will reveal his education reform agenda, an agenda which amounts to an unconstitutional attempt to seize power and interfere with education policy in New York State.
We, the undersigned members of NYS Allies for Public Education (NYSAPE), are writing in response to the December 18th letter to the Commissioner and Chancellor that Mr. Malatras wrote on your behalf.
